Led by Dr. Karen Bloch, Bloch Mobile brings decades of experience in sports medicine, recovery, and athlete performance. Dr. Bloch served as an Athletic Trainer for the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and is the current Team Chiropractor for the Anaheim Ducks. Our team has also provided recovery services for elite athletes, National Sailing Teams, and numerous premier sporting events throughout Southern California. We are proud to have been part of the Beach Polo for many years and are excited to continue helping athletes perform and recover at their best.
They will be onsite during the following times:
Saturday, August 8th: 8am-4pm
Sunday, August 9th: 8am-3:30pm

Also, The Grand Food and Beverage WILL NOT BE ON SITE, however, down the Street is Grill em All for burgers and across the street DINO's Dogs at $5 for Costco Hot Dog, Chips and a drink!
AGE GROUPS: (Note: Age Determination is age as of midnight August 10, 2026)
10U COED, 12U GIRLS, 12U BOYS, 14U GIRLS, 14U BOYS, 16U GIRLS, 16U BOYS
Note: divisions above will play 4 on 4 with a goalie
Divisions below will play 3 on 3 with goalie
19U GIRLS(HS), 19U BOYS(HS), WOMENS OPEN, MENS OPEN, MASTERS WOMEN (20+), MASTERS MEN (20+)
GAMES: BEACH WATER POLO RULES (for the most part!)
smaller courses 15M x 11M
4 field players plus 1 goalkeeper for 16U and younger, 3 field players plus goalkeeper for 19U and older, in play at any one time
games to 5 goals; best of 5 games is match between two teams
four matches (sets of games) per team guaranteed minimum (that's potentially 12 to 20 games to 5 goals each for each team!)
direct shot after foul outside 5 meters; direct shot also allowed from corner throw
exclusions touch either defensive corner and return to play immediately
games to 5 goals; team winning best of 5 games wins match between those two teams
Set time periods for each match (sets of games)
if time is up then team ahead shall win current game
if tied then 3 penalty shots to determine winner of that game
if a game is still needed then 3 (5M) penalty shots to determine winner of that game
if a team wins 3 games prior to match interval, then team will continue to play exhibition until time period is up and next match begins
ROSTERS: All rosters must be verified using the USAWP system after logging into your club account.
1) ANCHORED BOATS, Spectator or Overnight Security:
ANY VESSELS ANCHORING FOR DAY OR OVERNIGHT MUST BE REGISTERED BY US SO WE CAN NOTIFY THE MARINE SAFETY DEPARTMENT:

Other vessels may not be allowed overnight or during the day, so please register so we can manage! This is a safety issue!
NOTE! APPROVED, REGISTERED AND CLEARED VESSELS MUST BE ANCHORED OUTSIDE SWIM LINE,
STERN TOWARDS THE BEACH AND MUST LEAVE 20 FEET BETWEEN STERN AND REFEREE DOCK/GAME COURSE!
All athletes must be registered members on USAWP, minimum Bronze level
2) ROSTER ID CHECKS:
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH USAWP, BRONZE LEVEL MINIMUM.
Please go to the event stage prior to ALL your matches for roster ID check.
This is also how you will acquire your free event shirts (7 per registered team), additional event shirts available for purchase while supplies last

4) BUDDY SYSTEM:
This is a public beach! Please arrange for your athletes and spectators to use the buddy system. Pair up individuals to constantly monitor one another on the beach, in public places, AND ESPECIALLY IN THE WATER! Notify event stage and lifeguard staff immediately if anyone is missing! We are using a public VHF marine band channel for the refs to report scores and can advise the Lifeguard Staff which channel that is in order for them to monitor in case of emergency. In addition, we have a PA system for announcements and the usual Hawaiian Reggae (mostly!) music for your relaxing enjoyment that we can also use for any urgency.
5) Areas will be marked for allowed spots for canopies.
NO CANOPIES OR LARGE UMBRELLAS WILL BE ALLOWED IN FRONT OF THE STAGE LINE OF SIGHT TO THE COURSES.
Again, this will be clearly marked.
7) Flotation devices are okay, just not on the side on the courses between the beach and the courses, line of sight so spectators and event management can see the courses, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
8) Don’t forget to use sunscreen (and re-apply!) and STAY HYDRATED!
